This year Euroterra Capital is once again proud to support Hong Kong’s NGO organisation - Maritime Silk Road Society’s (MSRS) ‘Operation Zhang Qian – Undergraduates Summer Internship Programme’. We were able to offer 12 young people internships within the real estate and business sector in Greece.
One of the student interns, Wing Nam Liu, from Chinese University of Hong Kong, spent her internship at Euroterra Capital’s office in Greece.
‘Our colleagues in Greece were nice and friendly. They told us about the myths and history of Greece, ranging from Athena to Apollo. Sometimes, they shared with us their experience of the previous economic crisis and how they fought against it…We served clients from China and we tried our best to explain what we had learned in the course of our internship about the return on investment under the real estate plans.’ (Wing Nam)
The Maritime Silk Road Society is celebrating its third anniversary this year. The society is a non-profit making organisation with the objectives to support and complement China’s ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ to foster exchanges in trade, financial, economic, cultural, academic and educational sectors between Hong Kong and the ‘Belt and Road’ regions and to encourage young people to seize the development opportunities provided under the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’.
The ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ is a development strategy adopted by the Chinese government, who call the initiative a bid to enhance regional connectivity and embrace a brighter future. These concepts are extremely important to Euroterra Capital as international exchange and supporting the growth of students and young professionals are two of the company’s core values.
